Pastor Henry K. Truzys Jr.

Pastor Henry K. Truzys Jr. is a native of Mt. Olive,
North Carolina. He relocated to Charlottesville,
Virginia in the 1980s to continue his career in radio
broadcasting. After 25 years of being a radio
personality and co-owner of the first African American
owned radio station in Charlottesville, he retired from
the industry.
He rededicated his life to the Lord in 1997 and joined
the New Line Baptist Church. During his tenure at New
Line, he was the Sunday School Superintendent and
Teacher, Trustee, VBS Director, co-chair of the

Finance Ministry as well as playing the bass guitar for the choirs.
Pastor Truzys heard the voice of the Lord speaking to his heart and move his
membership to the Thessalonia Baptist Church. He accepted his call into the
ministry in 2010. He was ordained and installed in 2012 as Pastor of the
Thessalonia Baptist Church.
He is married to Minister Cassandra Truzys and they have two children and four
grandchildren. His favorite pastime includes playing his bass guitar, reading, and
studying the Bible, and participating in local activities in the community. He is a
member of the Louisa and Vicinity Ministers’ Conference and the Gospel Laborers
of Louisa. Most importantly, his greatest passion is serving others.
